Louise Howard
BSc (Hons.), BEd
Teacher, Owner, & Entrepreneur
Louise has always had a passion for mathematics. While completing her undergraduate degree in science at the University of Waterloo she completed several calculus and statistics courses. The University of Waterloo has one of the top-rated mathematics programs in the country. Its program tied for first place in Maclean’s 2021 rankings. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Science degree, Louise obtained her Bachelor of Education from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. She was able to combine her love of mathematics and joy for teaching young minds by working with students of all grades and abilities in the public school system in the greater Vancouver area.
In 2001, Louise co-founded Cutting Edge Tutoring and for the past 20 plus years has run a successful tutoring business serving clients in West Vancouver and North Vancouver. Early on in the pandemic, Louise was able to transition online quickly and now tutors clients successfully in the greater Vancouver area and around the country.
Outside of work, you can find Louise working in her garden or swimming in the ocean during the summer months and skate skiing at Callaghan in the winter.
